The different phases require various parts of your body, muscles, joints and ligaments including neck, wrists, shoulders, trunk, knees, hips and ankles. If one of these joints or structures is limited you may not notice.

Your body is very good at making adjustments in order to complete its task. However this can lead to various compensations and muscle imbalances which could present them selves as a slice, hook, or just a general bad shot. Therefore it is important to gain and maintain balanced flexibility throughout your joints to allow full range of motion of your swing.

Timing of your stretching is also important

Although stretching should be done as a part of your daily life, to stretch right before or during a golf round can inhibit the muscles for a short period of time leading to decrease in power output (that is less distance in the mind of the golfer).

But doing regular stretching away from the game will actually help in:

• Reducing muscle tension and make you feel more relaxed

• Give you freer movement which is so critical to the golf swing

• Reduce muscle strain

• Keep you prepared for your activities

• Loosen the mind's control of the body so it moves freely

Always remember that it is best to do relaxed, sustained stretches with focus on the muscles being stretched. When you begin, start with easy stretches and don't force it. Do not bounce and only go to the point of where you feel relatively mild tension then relax as you hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds.

You will notice the tension subside as you hold the position. You can then begin to move slowly an inch further in each position till you feel again a mild tension and again hold that for 15-30 seconds.

If the tension at any point does not subside then back off just a bit. The idea is to gradually stretch out the muscles.

Your breathing should be slow, rhythmical and under control. Exhale as you head into the stretch position and then breathe slowly as you hold the position.

Never hold your breath during the stretch.

The two areas most affected by the golf swing are your shoulders and your hips and they are the areas that give you your club head speed. As people get older, those two areas begin to restrict and so it is important to stretch both areas regularly.

Summary: A proper and consistent stretching routine between rounds can help prevent injury and allow for a smooth and powerful golf swing.

There are many sports on this planet. Some need tons and tons of practice, while some only require some minimum exposure, then you are off to the real thing. Although, golf may seems to be a relaxing sport but working to fix your golf swing is definitely not.

Many of us start playing golf to relax and de-stress ourselves after a long week at work. However, after getting on the golf course we stress ourselves with the game itself.

Why is that so? Once we get hold of the club, put on the golf shoes, tee-up the ball, look around to feel the wind direction if there's any, with all these in mind, we are putting stress rather than relaxing and de-stress.

Well, there are some basic tips to help you to fix up your swing.

Here they are,

1) Grip your club with your left hand so that your thumb lies along the body of the club. Check that the line between your thumb and index finger should point towards your right eye.

Then wrap your right hand over the left hand so that your left thumb fits into the cup of your right palm.

2) Fine tune your stance by pointing your knees inside slightly. Point your right foot straight ahead and the left one slightly to the left.

3) Bring your elbows and arms as close you can get them. When in your stance, your right elbow should point directly at your right hip the left elbow at your left hip.

4) Bring the backswing with your hands, followed by your arms and shoulders.

5) Begin the downswing by rotating your hips back towards the ball. Any swing that does not start from the hips will lack power. The left wrist bone should be pointing at the ball when the club makes contact.

To fix your golf swing you must practice as much as possible. As a saying goes, practice makes you a better golfer not overnight but over time. Remember, there is no shortcut in golf swings.

It can be very frustrating at first; due to lack of power in the swing you mat not be able to project the ball very far or anywhere for that matter. Fix your golf swing with patience and time.

It is not something that can be learned from the book. To fix your swing you must be out there on the field with the club in your hand. Observing others is another good way to fix your swing.

Besides observing others, you also need to be consciously alert of your surroundings and to project a mental picture

There are many ways to improve on this game, however, it is not advisable not to focus on this issue as I have heard and seen many do.

Just always remember that golf is a game played mainly to bring you some relief from the daily stress in the office or otherwise.

To fix your gold swing you do not need to be obssess with it but just need to relax and it will come to you with practice. Fun is the key and with it all the other skill of the game will come to you.

That's why many pros golfers on this planet are taking this game to the next level, they all treat this game not a challenge but play it with love and passion and the best of all, win or lose doesn't matter to them anymore.

Funny thing about golf -- many people like watch the game, many would like to learn how to play it, or play it better -- but most never get around to actually improving their golf game.

But they don't improve. Why? Because improvement comes with a price: a sizeable commitment in time and effort. Most players are not willing to make that sacrifice. If you are, then here are some recommendations on how you can improve your game.

First recommendation: Before you get caught up in the next golfing craze (i.e., "this is the best putter ever designed") concentrate on mastering the fundamentals. What are the fundamentals of the sport of golf? Simply these things: stance and posture, your backswing, your downswing, and your putting game. Get the fundamentals down pat before you focus on anything else.

Again I repeat, stay away from your golf pro shop - if you have your heart set on buying merchandise, that is. But you CAN get something good at your golf pro shop - buy some lessons from your club's golf pro. Those lessons will do you more good than anything else. How can you hope to master the fundamentals of the game when you are off the course, watching a video or reading a book?

When the time comes for you to buy some golfing accessories, a good thing for you to purchase would be a golf swing teaching aid. These consist of a set of straps and ropes that fasten around various parts of your body (knees, legs, arms, hands), that direct or restrict your movements as you swing. When you practice with these, you will actually be training your body in the way it should move - and after a while, when these movements have become ingrained, you can take your training aid off.

What's after that? Well, if you manage to go that far, then you need to head back to the pro shop again. It's time for more lessons from your instructor. He or she will need to check you out to make sure that you have not gotten sloppy -- and they can give you additional instruction in some of the finer points, like playing from the rough, distance putting, sand traps, putting into the wind, etc. Don't think that just one or two lessons from a pro will take you to the next level.

Golf equipment -- big bucks for little return. That's true in most cases -- especially for the beginner and intermediate golfer. So when you are just getting started you can simply rent a set of clubs for your first couple of times out. For your first purchase I would recommend you buy a set of USED clubs. You'll save yourself a ton of money -- and you can put the money you save into lessons with your pro.

My final recommendation to you is this: Unless you are aiming for the ranks of professional golfers, you need to make sure that you are having FUN when you play the game. Having a lot of fun will help you to stay interested and to keep playing -- and that, more than anything else, will help you to improve your golf game in the long run. Here's to your success!

When we come to getting golf instruction we want to be sure we are getting the best. We want to get instruction that will begin by ensuring we are assisting our body in getting the action right. Many of us golfers, when performing our golf swing (you can also read back swing here), let our left knee go down on the back swing. The outcome of this is that our shoulder will drop causing our hips to sway and overturn. Don't allow the knee to move. Good golf posture encourages us to maintain a steady stance. To have a good golf swing you need to maintain that stability, tension if you like, in both your legs. Some instructors suggest holding some kind of ball between your knees, I don't think that is going to be very practical on the course. See how using your imagination for this works, you could be surprised how effective it is.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is a fact!

There are certain physical 'musts' to achieve a proper golf swing.

Here are just a couple:

1. Approximately a 90 degree shoulder turn with a 45 hip turn.
2. Golf posture with a slight bend at the hips and in the knees.
3. Start the downswing with the lower body first, maintaining your upper body coil.
4. Impact. You should be 'behind the ball' with your head and upper body as the hips are slightly open.
5. Follow through requires maintaining the spine angle you had at address, throughout the follow through.

Now, you don't see how physical limitations in both strength and flexibility will limit or not allow you to attain the above requirements, I don't think you're really looking at it closely.

The golf swing puts the body under tremendous stress throughout the entire swing. Especially the lower back (due to the coiling and uncoiling of the upper body over a stable lower body), hips, wrists and even shoulders.

The ONLY way to achieve the proper golf swing is to physically improve your bodies limiting factors, so that you can finally achieve the proper golf swing.

Other Handy Golf Tips:
1. Source any natural dietary supplements which will help to keep you fit and healthy and keep your body in good shape to play golf.
2. Develop complete confidence in yourself and your game - need to be tough-minded and totally focused when you play golf.
3. Learn all known golf bets so that you can bet to your advantage and apply psychological pressure on your opponents at opportune moments.
4. Take vacations that will give you opportunities to play plenty of golf and enhance your game.
5. Source any natural dietary supplements which will help to keep you fit and healthy and keep your body in good shape to play golf.
6. You can find hundreds of the best and most popular golf tips on the internet. In a matter of minutes you can have tons of amazing golf tips at your disposal and most of them will be so basic that you will be shocked at how quickly they will improve your game.
7. You should spend more than one day searching for good golf tips. These should be something that you are always on the lookout for, you never know where you will come across some fantastic golf tips.
8. It may sound simple, but one of the best golf tips for beginners is to just have fun with the game. Keep in mind that you are probably not going to be getting your PGA card.
9. These golf tips for beginners can make all the difference in the world. If you just get the right clubs to start, take instruction from those who know the game, and have fun, then golf will be a great way for you to spend your leisure time.

It was developed to eliminate the common fault of swaying in the back swing or moving your weight outside your back foot. The Knee Stabilizer will keep your legs in synch with your upper body to move in the proper sequence for more power and control. Practice hitting balls on the driving range with the Knee Stabilizer to perfect your rhythm, balance, and weight shift for longer and more accurate shots.
