Manufacturers have experimented with club designs for many years, enlarging the sweet spot and introducing perimeter weighting designed to lessen the twisting at impact and give the golfer more opportunity to hit from the center sweet spot.
For the most part these innovations have been reached through trial and error, using computer aided design systems. A dimensional diagram of different golf club design models does describe exactly how the club head rotates through impact and where the center of gravity is as the ball and club head meet.

It's all here: The crossover of the hands, wrists and forearms through and beyond impact is one of the movements (perhaps the key movement) that defines good ball-strikers and their mechanics.
The upper arms are passive as the right hand and forearm 'snap' over the left a sure sign of a full, committed release of energy through the ball.
The great Henry Cotton always stressed the importance of 'educating the hands', and for me he nailed the essence of the swing. Down the ages, the game's greatest players have all made the same basic mechanical movement (i.e. a body turn coupled with a wrist hinge); they play with a hand action that both conducts and multiplies the energy created by the body all the way down through the shaft and into the clubhead. It's no coincidence that the greatest names in golf have all shared a wonderful hand action.

Every golfer has a swing fault he or she fights for their entire golfing career! This is a true statement among 80% or more of the golfing population. The consistent use of a golf swing training aid, that is specific to your swing fault will do wonders to your golf swing and performance.
Please remember this!
Any training aid for golf needs to be specific to your golf swing fault. Not your golfing buddies. Not your own swing instructor. Specific to YOUR swing fault!
continued below.....
I am a firm believer in a total golf performance improvement program, and using training aids is part of the program. You see...training aids can help you work on a specific swing fault and groove the correct move to cure it. If you're a slicer, you need to correct a certain move in your golf swing. Same with a hook ball hitter, topper, thinner, etc.

The golf training aid market is a booming market. Golfers are rabid and will pay any amount of money in hopes to play better golf. There is a new golf swing trainer coming out every month it seems like!
Golf swing trainers are any device that will take you through the correct golf swing mechanics to help you repeat a golf swing that will hold up for 18 holes. With the glut of training aids for golf hitting the market by the day, it is easy to open up your wallet in hopes for a better swing.
I am not against the use of training aids, but am a little skeptical with all the promises some of them make during their commercials or in their print ads. They all promise more distance, accuracy and lower scores. Isn't that "old hat" now? Longer yards, lower scores and better overall performance? You see it on every magazine cover...and hear it on golf broadcasts daily.
Here's the kicker!

The most common problem that the average golfer tends to do is slice the golf ball more often than not. Many golfers never figure out how to stop slicing the ball which can leave them very frustrated. In other words it is human nature not to bother curing the problem. Correcting Golf slice is actually quite simple to do. Read these guidlines that follow, Hit the driving range and apply these tactics after this read.
Want to take your game to the next level. Check out How To Stop Golf Slice
Golf Swing Stance
At the start, your legs are to be shoulder width apart. Important to note that your shoulders are side on and have to be in line with your target. Angle your left foot slightly outside your left shoulder while keeping your right foot pointed in line with your right shoulder.Make sure you hold this stance at keep relaxed and natural at all times. These small measured adjustments maybe simple, but it will certainly make a big difference to your direction of projection and distance.

You don't have to understand all the ins and outs of the golf swing in order to play well, but it certainly will help.
A person usually cannot pick up a golf club for the first time and swing it with perfection.
But, the body can learn the correct way to swing a golf club.
One gotcha is to be sure to NOT lift your head to view the alignment of the club face during the back swing and/or downswing.
The best focusing points for a consistent swing are:
1) efficient golf swing mechanics and
2) the body.
By keeping your joints supple and flexible, you could help ensure the length of your golf swing and even your club head speed.
