Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Kids of all ages look forward to summertime as a break from school and a time to play. However, many parents find keeping their kids entertained and engaged in positive activities during the summer months to be a challenge. Summer golf camps provide a way to keep children safe and occupied while engaging them in activities that boost self-confidence and promote a passion for athletics. Whether you have a future golf professional on your hands or a child with an interest in learning the basics, the right camp is within your reach.

Golf is one of the most common pastimes in America, and an incredibly popular focus in camps for young children and teens. There are many geared towards a variety of skill levels and age groups. A Scottish Golf Vacation

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

What better place for a golf vacation then the beautiful country where golf as we know it began - Scotland. In the 1400's Scots were playing a basic form of golf. They swung a club at a ball and moved it from the starting point to the hole at the finish, using as few swings as possible. Today Scottish golf courses are some of the greatest courses in the world.

A golf vacation in Scotland will definitely be a memorable experience as you play on such championship courses as The Old Course of St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Royal Troon, or Turnberry, to name a few. There are also many hidden gems of golf courses nestled in the beautiful countryside of Scotland that are well worth visiting.

Arizona Golf Vacations – Golfing In The Desert

Monday, May 10th, 2010

If you love golf and are planning a vacation, you should seriously consider looking in to Arizona golf vacations. The weather in Arizona is perfect for golfing with over 329 days of sunshine every year. There are more than 174 public and private golf courses, and many of the resorts offer golf vacation packages.

Playing golf on a desert golf course is very different from what many people are used to. Scottsdale, Arizona was the first place to develop and design a desert golf course, which is also called target golf. Desert golf was originally developed to be responsive to the environment, and the design can not change the flow of natural water. The golfers must play into the natural habitat and surrounding of the area. Because of the consideration to the natural surroundings, there is often a limited amount of land that can be used in the design and development of the course. In the Scottsdale area, The Boulders and The Desert Highlands are two of the most well-known desert golf courses.

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

What's not to like about taking a golf vacation? You get to wake up every morning right next to a golf course and you get to go hit a round of 9 before breakfast or 18 after, if you so choose. The course is beautiful, your score is low, the food and drink are superb, and the company you keep is of your choosing. The only thing that could make it better is not paying too much.

Cheap golf vacation makes for an excellent time, but there are a few things to consider before you grab your sticks and toothbrush and go.

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Preparing for a regular holiday consists of a fairly standard to do list. A golf holiday requires some extra action items to confirm in the week before departing that will help the holiday go smoothly and ensure you get to golf. The following items cover the fundamentals for most holidaying golfers.

Medication & First Aid: A simplified first-aid kit should be prepared for packing. If you intend golfing each day then any minor injuries can really take their toll over your holiday so prepare to bring aspirin, plasters, insect repellent, indigestion tablets, diarrhea medicine, sunscreen, contact lenses (and spare ones), spectacles and travel sickness medicine.
