Whether you buy the latest golf cart model at the highest price possible, or find one at a discount rate, it's important to remember these are considered in many locations to be motorized vehicles. They can be dangerous if not operated properly and they will, in a lot of locations, be required to conform to the rules of the road that any car or truck driver must observe.
Golf carts have gained in popularity for a number of reasons. Perhaps the most obvious is the fact they tend to run on battery power rather than gasoline. With gas prices becoming ever more ridiculous, it's no wonder these little vehicles are the preferred mode of getting around by those who can use them.
Being safe in a golf cart requires mostly common sense, but these rules, too, should be observed:

While every putter must know how to putt, he has to get the ball off the tee with a strong swing before he does anything else. With practice and concentration, any golfer can learn to perfect his swing. All swings have a few common elements that make up the fundamentals of golf.
The Grip
When gripping a club, circle your left hand around the club so you have a V between the thumb and index finger. Stretch the tension from finger to the shoulder. Overlap your right hand over the left thumb and vice versa. Make your V shape create a line that leads to the chin. Apply light pressure to both hands.

Generally, a set of golf clubs off the shelf isn't likely to be a perfect fit for you. Manufacturers create clubs for folks of average build whatever that is! Not only is everyone different in their physical make-up, but no two players swing exactly the same, so one golf club size definitely does not fit all.
If your clubs are too long or too short, you're likely to have problems. To find the right size clubs for you, try swinging with a few different lengths. Basically, you choose clubs that are about as long as the distance from your navel to the floor. You don't need to decide right away, lots of courses and driving ranges have sample clubs that you can practice with until you find the perfect fit!

Basically, a set of clubs consists of 'woods' and irons and a putter.
WOODS
Woods ( a generic term for the shape of the club as these are often made of other materials) are the more bulbous headed clubs with greater clubhead density, designed for propelling the ball longer distances. Originally, these numbered from 1 (Driver) to 4-wood, but these days it seems that woods can have any degree of loft and can number down to the higher iron numbers.
IRONS
A normal set of irons consists of numbers 3 to 9, together with a pitching wedge and sand wedge for use around the greens and from bunkers. The lower the number on the club, normally the longer the shaft to give a bigger swing arc, and the less the degree of loft on the face. These are designed to hit the ball lower over longer distances. The higher the number, the shorter the shaft and greater degree of loft. These are intended to hit the ball higher and over shorter distances.

There’s more to a good game of golf than practicing your swing, buying the latest and state-of-the-art equipment, or even devoting your entire weekends to practicing on the greens. Golf is also about mental preparation—what experts call “Being in the Zone”. The best golf players are very skilled at concentration and focus, enough to stay calm under pressure, and make calm decisions even when millions of dollars are at stake.
Mental preparation isn’t just a trick of the pros. Even casual golfers, the ones who like to use it for business networking, have to be able to play a good game while keeping track of their business objectives. Exactly how do you “seal the deal” on an important account, chatting casually without looking too desperate for the contract, while deciding what kind of swing and golf club you need for that particular moment? This is especially true when you are playing with particularly talkative people, who could be joking around or asking you all sorts of questions just when you’re about to make a crucial move.

Big Oak Havana Putter by Dave CurryBig Oak Havana Big Oak Putters incorporate Dave Curry's patented top weight designs. Dubbed the "cue ball effect" by Curry, overspin is generated immediately at impact by concentrating the center of gravity or mass above the equator of the ball at impact. Much like a cue stick impacting the cue ball in billiards, overspin is achieved above the equator of the ball, "NOT" below the equator like other manufacturers designs. Don't be fooled by copies of this principle hitting the market today. Big Oak doesn't do spaceships with bulges and weight bars. Milled from only the finest carbon steel billets to exact tolerances, you will find unbelievable feel in all the models. When we mention feel, it is not a soft feel such as the numerous insert models on the market today. These only mask or hide where the ball was struck. A firm click identifies through the shaft and hands where the ball impacted the face of the putter. This is "true" feel. The only way to improve your putting is to know where you are missing. The soft insert putters do not allow this. Big Oak does. Utilizing True Temper* shafts and Bidwell* leather grips, Curry believes only top shelf product should be used. Each putter comes with a logoed Big Oak putter boot manufactured in the U.S. Trained under one of the few master designers in the game today, Curry believes slow controlled manufacture insures the most balanced, solid, and aesthetically pleasing putters on the market today. Lie Angle: 72* Patented Top Weighting All Carbon Steel Mallet - No aluminum or brass weighting Used on The PGA Tour Independent laser and computer test lab proves that the Havana has the best roll, a truer Center of Gravity and better feel than any out there. hammY PutterHammy Putter The hammY Putter is available in two sizes with two different head styles. For players 5'8" or taller, select the 38.5" putter. For Players under 5'8", select the 37" putter. A milled face and a polymer insert face are available, to suit all preferences. Triple Bend Shaft The hammY Putter is designed with an innovative triple bend shaft, allowing for a more consistent roll and feel. Setting up with the hammY back in your stance, just inside your back foot, enables you to have a natural forward press. This forward press forces the ball to have an immediate and more accurate roll down the target line. The triple bend shaft also makes it possible to clear your left side (for right handed putting) out of the putt, promoting an open stance. This open, forty five degree, stance provides you the ability to view the line with both eyes. Using both eyes to track the target line is just one of many advantages to the revolutionary triple bend shaft and split grip combination of the hammY Putter. "When I take the club back I stay nice and low to the ground and when I go through, with an open stance, I stay on line right at the target. I do believe, if I was using the hammY Putter, I would have won twice as many tournaments in my career." Doug Sanders PGA Tour Legend & 20 Time Winner Split Grip hammY's revolutionay split grip allows you to finally putt with control and accuracy. By having your hands spread, you will maximize your control over the putter. Anything you do in life that relies on control and accuracy requires spreading your hands for optimal success. Imagine you have to bunt a baseball or take a slap shot in hockey; the only way you will consistently succeed is by spreading your hands for control and accuracy. Therefore, the hammY Putter's split grip will now provide consistent success in putting. By placing your lower hand on the bottom grip, you will gain the control required to bring the putter head straight back and straight through on each putt. The lower grip will result in a natural roll on the ball, as if you were rolling the ball with your hand, helping to eliminate three putts. The other hand grabs the top grip, working as a guide, to eliminate unwanted wrist break in the putting stroke. "Like the bunt in baseball the hammY's split grip gives you a nice, easy, swing control to the putter head. I have found that it helps me immensely." Eric Soderholm Former MLB Star & 6 handicap View The Line With the open, forty five degree stance, that the hammY Putter promotes, you will now use both eyes to find and track the target line. Golf studies have shown that sports vision is the number one reason people struggle with putting. Alignment and eye dominance come into play with the traditional stroke, often causing one to miss a putt even after making a good stroke. As traditional putters we often use one, usually less dominant, eye when addressing the ball. This problem presents an entirely different perspective from the time you align a putt and the point in which you address the ball. With hammY style putting you keep the same aligned perspective, can read the green easier, localize your target, and maintain the same alignment at impact. "The hammY Putter is brilliant from a sports vision perspective. As an optometrist, who has dedicated his life to improving the visual system, I don't know why anyone would go back to putting in a traditional style again." Dr. Brent Dunlap Optometrist & Avid Golfer Roll The Ball Theory If we asked you to roll a ball to the hole instead of putting it, how would you do it? You would open up and face the hole, bend slightly at the knees, and roll the ball with your palm at the target. The hammY style is the same setup as rolling the ball. Fortunately, hammY has developed the perfect putter to allow you to implement this stance, and combine it with a stroke as simple as rolling the ball in with your bare hand. We've all been rolling the ball since we were small children. Now the hammY Putter gives you a new way to putt, even a 3 year old is comfortable with. "The hammY Putter has made my teaching putting simple. All I do is ask my students to image they are rolling the ball in with thier hand. Anyone, including young children, can relate. It is easy and prevents their minds from getting cluttered." Greg Miller PGA Prefessional & Instructor If you have any questions about this product or would like to order by phone, please call us Toll Free at 888-733-8383. We look forward to hearing from you!
